A fantastic Greek terracotta antefix depicting the head of a Gorgon, c. 4th - 2nd Century BC, the face nicely modeled with hair in curls, the leaves and the stalk of a plant emerging from behind. A very attractive architectural elements from the edge of the roof or a building. H: 8 1/3 in (21.1cm), W: 8 1/4 in (21cm). Light deposits and with custom stand. Ex Kent, UK private collection; Gideon Sasson, Jerusalem.
