MERIDEN MALLEABLE IRON BRASS HANGING / LIBRARY LAMP, dark to light pink opalescent Hobnail/Dewdrop dome-form shade, scroll harp with ribbing and daisies supporting a matching opalescent font holder, stamped-brass elements include a shade and crown bands, leveler, smoke bell and motor cover, cast-iron horizontal spring-loaded motor. Fourth quarter 19th century. 39" HOA. Shade 6 1/2" H, 14" D base, 6" D rim.
Excellent condition, shade undamaged with some minor mold roughness to several hobs, as made, frame with some replaced hardware and an alteration to motor cover, shade band with solder repair, font holder with some small chipping/flakes to rims, lacking font and associated supports.
