Description
CAST-IRON HANGING EXTENSION LAMP, black paint with brass highlights, scrolling patterned arms with medial supporting a cast-iron openwork font holder, large counter-weight with embossed patent date, top medial hanger with hook for smoke bell on an arch-form frame; fitted with a colorless bracket font with shell pattern and embossed patent date to the drip edge, side-refill feature, No. 2 brass collar. Fitted with a period setup comprising a No. 2 lip burner, opal conical-form shade, and an opal smoke bell with an applied hanging ring. Non-period colorless chimney. Fourth quarter 19th century. Frame 43 1/2" HOA, font 4" H to top of collar.
