Description
CAST-IRON GEORGE BOHNER HANGING EXTENSION LAMP, bronze finish, frame with stylized petal ornamentation and arch-form hanger with pulleys, medial supporting a cast-iron font holder cup with underside impressed "BOHNERS LIBRARY. LAMP. PAT APRIL 30, 1872.", adjustable cast-iron shade support crown ring, top medial hanger with hook for smoke bell; fitted with a colorless bracket font with Shield pattern, No. 1 fine-line collar. Fitted with a period setup comprising a C. W. Brown & Co. No. 0 lip burner, opal conical-form shade, and an opal smoke bell with an applied dark green rim and attached metal hanging hook. Non-period colorless chimney. Third quarter 19th century. Frame 32" HOA, font 3 3/4" H to top of collar.
