Second edition of this work anonymous, appeared for the first time in 1683, and frequently reprinted in the eighteenth century, interesting for the large number of illustrations, also in support of the description of each plant, known as le petit Bauhin. The botanical classification adopted is that of Bauhin; of each plant are given the description, the place of distribution and medicinal properties, as well as the nomenclature in four [in addition to the Latin name]. Nissen, B.B.I., n. 705, he cites much later editions [Gilibert republished in fact this compendium, dating from the late seventeenth century, in 1798]; Pritzel, n. 10768.
