Description
Easton, Penn. In Northhampton County. Polychrome painted steel dial with Roman numerals, bird on flowering branch in lunette and strawberries in spandrels, calendar aperture below center, signed on face Chriftan Winter/Eafton. Brass weight driven English bell strike movement with pendulum, lacking weights. Cherry Chippendale case with broken arch topped bonnet with scroll carved goose necks, turned finials on fluted square plinths, tombstone door, flanked by full turned columns with blocked capitals and plinths, tombstone side lights over carved fleur de lis. Waist with overlapping thumb molded door with shell carved top and circular window to view pendulum, flanked by chamfered corners with lambs tongue terminals, cove molding at top and bottom. Base with applied scroll cut panel, over stepped bracket base, flat to floor, pine secondary wood, 17 1/2 x 11 x 94" high.
