A 1924 sterling silver Olympic Games participating medal. The medal depicting a male athlete holding a laurel leaf, was presented by New York mayor John Francis Hyland (1868-1936) "On behalf of the City of New York to the victorious American Athletes on their return from the Olympic Games at Paris, France". The back stamped with an eagle, D & C Sterling, Dieges & Clust (jewelers established in 1898). Measures 50mm x 30mm.
