Description

Set of Official Army Registers, for the years 1865-1869. 5 volumes in 8vo. Four bound in modern red cloth, the other unbound and stitched (much as issued.) Each with folding charts. Stamps to titles of 1865 and 1869 issues, a few pencil markings and occasional minor stains. On the whole, clean and Very Good. As-is. ****************************************************** Series of U.S. Army Registers spanning the end of the Civil War and several years immediately following the Civil War. Includes names and ranks of officers along with other information, beginning with Generals such as Ulysses Grant. William Sherman appears in each registry, rising from Major General in 1865 to General in 1869.
