PAGE CO., SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA, PUNCHED-TIN-PANELED WALNUT PIE / FOOD SAFE, twelve tins, the rectangular two-board top over two short drawers above two hinged cabinet doors concealing two fixed shelves, tin design featuring central fylfot and "A. R. M." initials, retains an old surface with rich color. Possibly the shop of William A. Mauck, Marksville, Page County, VA Area. Mid 19th century. 50 3/4" H, 39 1/2" W, 18" D.
Good overall condition with old strip repair to back edge of top, Tins with later paint. Possibly reduced in height.
Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisitions and conservation funds of a private Virginia museum.
