Ancient Greece, Athens, ca. 5th to early 4th century BCE. An elegant blackware wine cup (skyphos) of a classic form with very thin walls, a short raised foot, and twin horizontal loop handles, probably used for drinking wine at symposia. A lovely example! Size: 6.25" W x 3.25" H (15.9 cm x 8.3 cm)
