Rifled octagonal barrel in 12mm calibre engraved with neo-gothic motifs about the breech and muzzle, signed in gold on the top panel "Gastinne Renette arque de SM L'empereur a Paris, exposition du 1855", grey-finish lock decorated with swirls and signed in full by this important gunsmith, engraved iron mounts, butt pierced with foliage surrounded by beading, mahogany stock is magisterially carved and embellished. It is conserved in the original case (Dim. 39x18,5cm) ebony veneered, brass filleting with plaque, noble coat-of-arms in the centre, complete with leather case, green velvet lining with cartouche and gold inlaid references to the famous gunsmith; it contains the following accessories: powder flask, turn screws, and nipple wrench, doser, bullet mould, cleaning ramrods. The weapon is superbly made and in excellent condition._x000D_
