Description
Roman Empire, ca. 2nd to 3rd century CE. A hand-blown rich olive green glass jug form with a spherical body with six equidistantly placed indentations, a slender cylindrical neck, a trefoil spout, and folded rim, with an elegant trail of glass for the handle joining shoulder to rim. The underside is slightly dimpled. Beyond its impressive form is the inherent beauty of the glass which has developed marvelous internal silvery and rainbow iridescence over the years. Size: 2.875" W x 4.25" H (7.3 cm x 10.8 cm)
