Description
This is a beaded pipe bag from the Sioux Native American Indians. The bag appears to be from circa early to mid 20th century. The pipe bag or tobacco bag features an Indian tanned hide construction with rich patina showing wonderful glass trade seed bead work in a geometric traditional pattern. The beads are in chalk white, semi-transparent red, greasy yellow, green, and blue. The bag shows fancy beaded fringe with rolled tin jingle cones accenting. The bag measures overall 25.5"L x 6"W.
