Description

John Rogers Figural Civil War Group, "Wounded to the Rear - One More Shot," patinated plaster, on an integral circular base, H.- 24 in., W.- 11 in., D.- 9 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age. Wear and chipping throughout patination. Triangular crack on the crouching soldier's proper left shoulder. An approximate 1 inch loss to the edge of the standing soldier's hat. A 1 ½ inch chip to the top of his jacket and a pea-size chip to his proper left hand. A ½ inch chip to the top of his collar and proper right elbow. Red residue on the back edge of the base and bottom of the figures. Brown residue on the top of the gun and small metal ring visible at the tip. An intriguing scene. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD "AS IS."
