Description
The serial number of this rifle places manufactured September 1943 to December 1943. It was rebuilt for use in the Korean War. Features the upgraded rear sight. Barrel is dated SA1-51 (1951). Left side of walnut stock has the "S.A. J.L.G." cartouche in box (James Guion 7/50-5/53"). Bolt is No. D28287-12SA W98. Trigger assembly is stamped D28290-12-SA which is period correct for 1943. TE reading: 3. No ME reading. Visible rifling but worn. Proof "P" with serifs in circle on wrist. Gas port cylinder is raw metal. Balance of rifle retains virtually of the arsenal reapplied parkerized finish. Stocks are near mint with a couple minor impressions. Comes with a sling.
