Description
Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Huastec, ca. 900 to 1450 CE. An animal form vessel reminiscent of a rodent with a busily-painted body of curves, dots, and lines painted black on cream white slip. The animal's tall, thin tail forms a spout. In the center of the body is a wide, round opening with flared rim; a strap handle rises from the rim. Size: 8" L x 8.7" W x 7.5" H (20.3 cm x 22.1 cm x 19 cm)
