UNITED STATES, 1943Three World War II war propaganda posters. The first poster was printed by the Office of Defense Transportation and displays a photograph of a crowded train car. The phrase "Is Your Trip Necessary?" is printed across the top of the photograph while "Needless travel interferes with the War Effort" is boldly printed below. The second poster was printed by the Office of War Information and depicts Uncle Sam holding his finger to his lips. The words "I'm Counting On You!" declares boldly across the top while "Don't Discuss Troop Movements Ship Sailings War Equipment" is printed across the bottom. The third poster was printed by the Office of War Information and depicts a dinner plate with bare chicken bones atop it. The phrase "FOOD IS A WEAPON" is printed across the top while 'DON'T WASTE IT! Buy Wisely-Cook Carefully-Eat it All" is printed across the bottom.
