Large carved wooden male and female idol from the Lega peoples of the DRC / Congo, central Africa. Carved wooden figure with male and female attributes as well as kaolin clay accented faces. the wood has many holes drilled into the sculpture, possibly serving a ritual function. Custom mounted to a professional style base. Measures 20 inches tall (23 inches tall on wooden base)
