Very well weathered and worn female shrine idol with undeniable age and weathered patina. The wood is dense and heavy, suggesting great age to acquire such a worn patina. Among the Ngbaka, male and female human figures were placed at shrines as representations of the mythical ancestor Sètò and his sister-spouse, Nà bo.
