Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, central highlands, ca. 300 BCE to 500 CE. Beautiful translucent jade avian-form pendant. In the form of a celt with thin blade at lower section, distinct avian form head with large beak, drilled eyes and two small raised nodes at top, lateral drilled hole through head for suspension. A very fine jade in medium green. Size: 2.9" H (7.4 cm)
