Description

MODEL 1850 FOOT OFFICER'S SWORD. Blade is marked on the spine "H. RUDDICK. BOSTON".Blade is etched over 2/3 of length with various military & patriotic motifs. Gilded brass hilt. Leather grip. Gilded brass mounted leather scabbard. Blade length: 30 3/4". Overall length: 37". CONDITION: blade is very good with a few very small nicks to the edge. Approx. 15% gilding remains on the hilt. Leather grip is complete, however no wire remains. No gilding remains on the scabbard mounts. The bottom 6" of scabbard is missing.
