Ricasso marked SCHUYLER, / HARTLEY & / GRAHAM. / NEW YORK. Brass, half-basket guard with pierced floral design. Leather covered grip with brass wire wrap. Metal scabbard with brass throat, mounts and drag with patriotic design [later added]. Scabbard has crudely scratched CSA and FIVE FORKS along with other unidentifiable markings. Areas of leather grip covering with losses and cracks. Wire a bit loose. Tarnishing, fine scratches and wear to brass hilt. Scabbard with no visible dents, but with scattered pitting and discoloration. Dents, bruising and age patina to brass throat, mounts and drag.
