American Revolution: Group of Related Gold Badges. Five patriotic or fraternal order badges. 1) Enamel, brass and gold 1883 Sons of the Revolution badge stamped "Bailey Banks & Biddle Phila. 1882". Issued to John Leeming. Not stamped as to composition, but the frame and eagle appear to be gold. 2) Enamel and gold "Daughters of the Revolution" badge, inscribed on the back "1367 Margaret L. Leyden". Not stamped as to composition, but the hanger and drop (not the medal)appear to be gold. 3) Enamel and gold "Colonial Dames" badge inscribed on the back "Anna Champion West 852. 14K". (fraying to ribbon). 4) Enamel and gold Sons of the Revolution "Color Guard" badge made by Hood and stamped 10K. 5) Enamel and gold Daughters of the American Revolution badge inscribed to "Lillian Armstrong Parrott 254157", made by J. E. C. & Company and stamped 14K. The total weight of all items is 80.2 grams while the weight of the marked items is 51.3 grams.
