Description
A Roman oil lamp depicting a pair of armored figures, c. 2nd Century AD, each standing on a platform and perhaps represents a gladiatorial contest or similar. The shoulder adorned with dashed and straight circles and the base indented and unmarked, probably from Cyprus. L: 3 2/5 in (8.7cm). Light deposits. Ex collection of John Hibner, acquired in Turkey during military service in the 1960's.
