Description
An Egyptian pale green faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 – 332 BC, depicted mummiform and standing on integral base, wearing striated tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded at chest, hands holding a pick and hoe, bag over left shoulder, vertical column of Hieroglyphic text down the front of the legs and a vertical plinth down back. Nicely detailed facial detail and a very pleasing example! H: 5 2/3 in (14.5cm). With antique wood black base. Ex New York private collection.
