Description
A nice Egyptian green glazed faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 – 332 BC, depicted mummiform and standing on integral base, wearing tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded at chest, hands holding a pick and hoe, bag over left shoulder, six horizontal bands of text down front and sides of legs, vertical plinth down back. H: 5 ¾ in (14.6cm). A handsome example with clear text and overall pleasing style. Ex collection of Prof. Alan Pasch, Maryland.
