Description
An Egyptian pale blue-green faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, on integral base, mummiform wearing tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded at chest, hands holding a pick and hoe, basket over left shoulder, vertical plinth down back and vertical column of hieroglyphic text down front of legs. H: 4 1/4 in (10.8 cm). Well-preserved with surface deposits, custom lucite stand. Ex Washington, DC. private collection, acquired during the early 1990's.
