Meiji period, late 19th/early 20th century, the domed cover over dual metal-mounted hinged black lacquer doors opening to a gilt interior fitted with carved gilt and polychromed figures of Dainichi Nyorai flanked by Fudo Myoo and Bishamon Ten, 24.5'' H x 15'' W x 12'' D, est: $1500/2500

Condition
Overall good condition, with scattered minor scuffs and scratches to exterior commensurate with age. Rubbed wear to gilt interior, primarily concentrated on base. An apparently stable vertical shrinkage crack runs the length of the verso panel.
