Description
Classical World, Magna Graecia, southern Italy, ca. 4th century BCE. A beautifully formed trefoil oinochoe, with a very thin handle and an unpainted foot. The oinochoe was a pouring vessel, used for water or wine; this style was probably made specifically to be used as grave furniture. Size: 6.5" W x 9.4" H (16.5 cm x 23.9 cm)
