Description

Brass badge with obverse inset ferrotypes of 1872 Republican ticket Ulysses S. Grant and running mate Henry Wilson with eagle and "For President / Vice-Pres." Reverse bears portrait of Grant with "For President / U. S. Grant". Suspended from shield-form badge with back pin reading, "Grant Club".

Condition

Brass elements in fair to good condition with overall wear. Ferrotypes exhibit mild crazing throughout and areas of "bubbling" in emulsion concentrated near bottom of each portrait. Other defects include some soiling and small cracks near edges.
