Description
Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, Pacific slope, Boruca Indians, ca. 1300 CE. A trio of pottery whistles, all made of a creamy red pottery. One is of an animal perched on a pot; another of a human figure with a whistle extending out the side of its body; the third is a quadruped with a long, curved tail (jaguar?). A complementary collection. Size: 2.75" W x 3.5" H (7 cm x 8.9 cm)
