Description
Mexico, ca. 1875. Wonderfully executed paint on tin retablo in the form of La Madre de la Cruz. Our Lady of the Light or Holy Mother of the Light expresses a Catholic Marian devotion that comes from a revelation of Mary of Nazareth to a seer that would take place on November 21 of 1722 in Palermo.
