Latin America, Mexico, ca. 1875 CE. An antique oil on tin painting depicting Saint Isidro, the patron saint of laborers and farmers as well as the protector of animals, birds, flocks, and herds. The composition of this particular painting includes San Isidro kneeling in prayer before a church with an angel herding a pair of oxen below. An endearing blend of finely painted faces and folk style landscape. Size: 14" x 10".
