Description
Classical World, Southern Italy, Apulia, ca. 325 BCE. This is a fired black skyphos, decorated with applied orange geometric designs of leaves and a guioche pattern. This style of overpainting on blackware is known as Xenon ware, a uniquely Apulian version of an Attic style. Size: 3.8" W x 1.75" H (9.7 cm x 4.4 cm)
