Description
Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, Dynasties 26 through 31, ca. 662 to 320 BCE. The quintessential Egyptian bronze item every collection needs! Seated bronze cat upon an integral base, tang beneath for attachment. Cat sits in an alert pose, tail wrapped around its right side as is almost always the case, eyes incised after it was molded. Clay molding material still present would allow for a TL if owner ever desired. Size: 1.75" L x 2.375" H (4.4 cm x 6 cm)
