Description
ENGLISH CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising two pearlware, straight-sided mugs with cut horizontal bands, one barrel-shaped mug with incised lines and polychrome enamel decoration, and one large, ovoid barrel-shaped jug with incised lines. Illegible impressed letters on barrel-shaped mug as well as an impressed "2", otherwise unmarked. Staffordshire and other areas. Late 18th/ early 19th century. 4 3/4" to 7 3/4" H.
Good condition overall. Expected glaze crazing, multiple hairline cracks on the base of one mug, flakes to interior rim and foot rim of barrel mug, tight radial hairline crack on base of jug, two short hairline cracks on foot rim of one mug.
