Description
Magna Graecia, Italy, ca. mid 4th century BCE. A Greek red-figure askos with a gently domed round body upon a ring foot and a single handle behind the trumpet spout. The upper portion of the body is adorned with a fox and a hare or perhaps a canine and hare mofif, both animals captured mid leap over a spiral motif. Size: 6" W at widest x 4" H (15.2 cm x 10.2 cm)
