Description
Mermod Freres (Swiss, 1833-1929) for Jacot & Sons, New York (American, 19th century), circa second half 19th century. "The Ideal Piccolo Interchangeable Cylinder Musical Box" with Jacot's Patented Safety Check, the oak cased tabletop music box with four interchangeable cylinders, and hinged lid opening to reveal music mechanism with one drum and one comb, and with hand crank to right side of case. Approximate height (closed) 8.25", width 27", depth 12".
