Description
Mexico, ca. 1800 CE. Very fine short sword in its original leather scabbard. Mid-sized iron blade with incised decorations, curved loop guard, handle of wood over iron in the form of an animal head at its terminal. Original leather scabbard with 7 iron tacks, stamped repeating design and incredible deep patina. Fabulous example! Size: 26"L with sheath; sword itself measures 25-1/4"L.
