South America, ca. 18th to 19th century CE. Antique Spanish Colonial silver ornament decorated in repousse with floral motifs and foliate patterns, mounted upon a wood plaque, with a suspension hook on the backside. This piece may have been affixed to an altar, santo or mirror. Beautiful hand chasing and repousse throughout. Size: 8-1/8" x 7-1/4"
