Northern Peru, Moche, ca. 300 to 500 CE. Long and rare pottery staff finial. Brownware hollow-molded serpent with slithering model, bulging eyes and toothy grin. Size: 10" L.

Condition
Probe hole in mouth and breaks at right side partially repaired with plaster. With a small amount of restoration this could be a fabulous piece!
