Pre-Columbian, Guanajuato Valley, Mexico, ca. 300 to 100 BCE. Rare pottery jar decorated in deep brick red slip and painted with three rows of black stepped diamond patterns. Slightly rolled rim with twin suspension holes. Size: 7"H (17,8cm).
Provenance: Ex-private Houston, TX collection acquired at local auction or art gallery between 1982 and 1995.
