Description
WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE CHURN, salt-glazed, brushed "6" gallon capacity, slightly ovoid form with deep collar, rounded galleried rim with inner ledge, and arched handles, Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt double spitting-tulip decoration with stripes above and below. Probably John Weaver, Beaver, PA. Circa 1860. 17" H, 9 1/4" D rim.
