Description
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE PITCHER, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, ovoid form with two bands of double incised neck rings, applied strap handle, beaded foot, and brown-glazed interior. Brushed cobalt decorations featuring three tulips rising from the base with feather/leaf design repeated eight times around neck, and additional cobalt to handle terminals. Probably the Richard C. Remmey pottery. 1870-1885. 10 7/8" H, 5" D rim.
Excellent visual condition having professional restoration to rim, some flaking to interior, and minor flake to foot edge.
