Description
Native American, Southwestern United States, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), ca. 950 to 1150 CE. A spherical pottery mug, formed via the meticulous Puebloan coil-and-scrape technique, with a thin rim and a strap handle on the verso. Decorating the upper portion of the white-ground vessel are hand-painted linear and spiral motifs in black pigment, and the underside is undecorated. Size: 5" L x 4.7" W x 4.625" H (12.7 cm x 11.9 cm x 11.7 cm)
