Description
A pair of French polychrome enamelled copper plaques for a purse, Limoges, 17th/18th centuryKupfer, polychrom emailliert. Womöglich aus der Werkstatt Jean-Baptiste Nouailher (1699 - 1775). Ovoide, leicht gewölbte Form. Im Zentrum jeweils ein bunt emailliertes Porträt (eines wohl Herzog Louis von Burgund) gerahmt von floralem Dekor. Diese Plaketten zierten Geldbörsen. Im oberen Bereich gibt es jeweils zwei Lochbohrungen, durch die eine Schnur geführt wurde, um das Portemonnaie zu öffnen. Die Ränder mit kleineren Lochbohrungen. Als Bekrönung eine mit Draht befestigte Schleife aus vergoldeter Bronze. Beide Appliken mit einem Draht verbunden. Rückseite mit altem Etikett. Fehlstellen. Maße 7,6 x 5,5 cm bzw. 8,7 x 6 cm (Höhe mit Schleife 10,5 cm bzw. 11,5 cm).Condition: II - IIIKeywords: Plaque de bourse
