A finely enamelled copper plaque with Cephalus and Procris, Limoges, Jacques II Laudin (1665 - 1729), 17th centuryKupfer, polychrom emailliert, partiell vergoldet. Runde, minimal gewölbte Platte, sehr fein bemalt mit der tragischen Darstellung (nach Ovids Metamorphosen) des jagdbegeisterten Kephalos, welcher seine eifersüchtige Frau Prokris durch ein Missverständnis mit einem Pfeil tödlich verletzt. An seiner Seite der Hund Lailaps. Auf der Rückseite monogrammiert "I.L.". Altersspuren. Partiell retuschiert. Rückseite mit Fehlstellen. Durchmesser 8 cm.Condition: II -
