A mirliton model 1846/47 for a reserve officer in the Hussar Regiment "von Schill" (1st Silesian) No. 4The tall body made of black patent leather, a fabric wing in black cloth around the edge. The cloth lined in yellow with interwoven metal threads for officers. A small fastening hook for the wing on the upper side of the black top. Convex, gilt chinscales with leather underlay on geometric rosettes, the visor sewn on. Large Prussian field insignia for officers (silver fringes, black velvet) and a large, silver-plated Landwehr cross inserted at the top. No regiment number. Black leather sweatband lined in good quality black silk. Signs of age and handling.
