Description
A pearlware jug, circa 1800-10
Of globular shape, with engine turning above the base and the neck, the inscription 'Nelsons Glory' flanked by a wheatsheaf and a plethora of farming tools including a plough, harrow and scythes, 15cm high

Condition
There is restoration to the spout, a small section of the rim and the 'kick' at the lower handle terminal. There is a small filled and restored hole in the lower body of the jug, visible to the interior. Also visible to the interior are two short cracks to the lower body of the jug with some corresponding restoration to the exterior at this point. There is crazing to the glaze, some of which has picked up some light stain. The majority of the enamelled decoration remains well.
