A Florida beach seascape, painted in the style of the 20th Century Indian River School and its founder, Albert (Beanie) Backus (1906-1990), who assisted in the foundation of the Florida Highwaymen movement. Depicts the Atlantic coast, with palm trees, mangroves, and birds in flight, beneath a blue, pink, and lavender sky of billowing cumulus clouds. Artist signed to lower left. Additional artist signature with title and older contact information to verso. Presented with a fabric mat border in a rustic wood frame.
